How to Use Design Approval

Once your admin sets up design approval, the user to whom email notifications are assigned will be notified when a design approval is necessary.

In the AI-Assisted design tool, sales reps can switch between several modes: Default, Nearmap + NREL (Assisted Design) and Nearmap + NREL (Manual Design). If a sales rep switches to any other design mode that is not Default, the design must be reviewed before the proposal can be financed.

In the manual design tool, sales reps can choose between Google Solar and NREL data sources. If a sales rep chooses the NREL data source, the design must be reviewed before the proposal can be financed.

Submitting an AI-Assisted Design for Approval

When designing with the AI-Assisted design tool, sales reps will need approval for design if they select Nearmap + NREL (Assisted Design) or Nearmap + NREL (Manual Design) modes from the “Mode” dropdown.

Once the design is complete, click “Save”.

After saving, a message will appear at the top of the page indicating that the design is pending approval.

Submitting a Manual Design for Approval

When designing with the manual design tool, sales reps will need approval for design if they select NREL from the “LIDAR Data Source” dropdown.

Once the design is complete, click “Done” to save it.
