Running Credit and Signing
There are four basic steps to qualifying a homeowner and completing a new sale. There are four overarching steps to this process, and it's crucial to understand that the homeowner signing and documents portion of the transaction happens in the homeowners App account (accessible via web browser or app download on smartphone).
- Homeowner information is input (via your sales portal API, or via palmetto.finance)
- Qualifying via credit check
- App/Account Login (App download or web browser) + Contract Docusign are sent
- Documents signed & stipulations cleared
1. Ensure system details are input into the account.
- This is required in order to generate a quote
- First-year production and system size are required
2. Click +QUOTE
- Note: Only one quote can be active at any given time. This can be identified by an ACTIVE status
3. Select Escalator and Pricing
- First, select your escalator
- Then, select your per-unit pricing and SAVE to continue
4. Run Credit: Click "+ Application" and submit application
- Social is not required but recommended for best results. Some applications may not return a result without a) the Last 4 of social or b) the Full social. Note that ITNs are not accepted in place of social and may result in an error.
- Double check homeowner email for accuracy
- Allow the homeowner to review and affirm the disclosure
5. When ready, SEND the contract
- Contracts are sent to the homeowner's email via docusign
- Docusign subject (may vary): "Power Purchase Agreement - XYState"
- Alternate signing option: As of October 30th, homeowners can sig the contract within their online account.
6. Simultaneously, the homeowner is sent an ACCOUNT/APP Login Prompt via Email + SMS
- Homeowner portal link: https://home.palmetto.com/.
- All homeowners must create an account to clear stipulations
- The account is accessible via web browser, mobile browser, or mobile app
- Email Subject Line: "Welcome to LightReach! Activate your solar account."
- SMS will provide a direct Link to activate the solar account
- Homeowners can submit ACH payment information or documents (fastest). Additionally, Certified Developers can help upload any needed documents via the Palmetto finance portal, if necessary (review time typically less than 24 hrs).
7. Homeowner clears stipulations
- Stipulations are cleared fastest when the homeowner completes them via their account. Steps can be found here.
- Signing LightReach Energy Agreement
- ID Validation
- Title proof (if flagged)
ACH/Payment info input (highly recommended at point of sale) - NTP equirement.
