What Is The SOLRITE Sonnen Bonus

SOLRITE’s Virtual Power Plant partnership with Sonnen allows them to provide 16 different "Grid Services" for utility companies. Homeowners can help local utility companies manage grid weaknesses, and the utility companies compensate for this help. At SOLRITE, they use this future revenue to create more margin in their payment matrix, allowing sales reps to give homeowners a better short-term and long-term payment structure and a properly sized solar and battery system. Sonnen is the only battery that can provide 16 individual grid services. Therefore, this VPP partnership will result in the maximum grid, homeowner, and sales rep benefits. 

One of the immediate ways they do this is through the "Sonnen Bonus". They dedicate an additional $1,250 bonus per 10KWh of Sonnen battery that is included in a solar project. This is added directly to the total EPC.

When you go to your proposal and scroll down to the Battery Recommendation section, you can select the Sonnen battery or batteries that fits well with your solar system size. The Sonnen battery bonus is also mentioned along with the battery details.

Your Sonnen Bonus is then added to the total system cost thereby helping you with Net EPC

Note: The sonnen bonus is updated in the SOLRITE AVL List by the SOLRITE Manager or the superadmin. Bonuses set in the database will be reflected in the financing summary for all SOLRITE organizations in their proposal.
