How to Add a Battery?

Keeping your battery database up to date ensures that you have access to accurate product information when building proposals and managing projects. Whether you are adding batteries from the master list or requesting a new one, the steps below will guide you through the entire process, from database management to assigning finance partners.


Step 1: Click "Manage Database" to expand the section, then click the "Database" tab.

Step 2: Click "Batteries" in the left-hand menu.

Step 3: Go to “Batteries” under the Batteries section.

Step 4: Click “+ Add” in the top right corner. 

Step 5: There are two options here. You can either add batteries from the master database or request a new battery by clicking on the "Request  Battery” button.  To add master batteries, click the “Master” dropdown. 

Step 6: Select the checkboxes next to the batteries you wish to add, then click “Add”. 

Step 7: Click “Yes” to continue. 

Step 8: Alternatively, open the “Request Battery” tab, fill in the required fields for Name, Manufacturer, Size kwh, and Battery Type, optionally add a file, and then click "+ Create Request" to submit.

Step 9: The batteries can be viewed from the “Batteries” section of the Database. 

Step 10: Click on the eye icon to edit the battery details. 

Note: To enable the battery for a specific finance partner, make sure you select the desired finance partner for the battery. If no matching finance partner is assigned, the battery will work for all finance partners. 

To enable battery financing for select finance partners, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Click “View Details” for the battery you want to view.

Step 2: Click “Edit”.

Step 3: Scroll down to “Finance Partner” and select the desired finance partners from the dropdown.

Step 4: Click “Update”.
