How to enable and use Energy Insight?


Step 1: Navigate and click on the “Hi, username” in the top right corner of your home page

Step 2: Click on “Settings.”


Step 3: Scroll down your settings list to find “Energy Insight Settings.”

Step 4: Click the “Edit” button 

Step 5: Turn on the toggle to enable Energy Insight and click “Update”

Note: You can choose to include Energy Insight in the consumption profile as well as the perfect packet .

Turn on the toggle next to “Is Energy Insight Perfect Packet Required” to add it to the perfect packet checklist. If this setting is enabled, the contract cannot be signed until the Energy Insight Perfect Packet is verified.



Turn on the toggle next to “Show Connection Buttons in Consumption Profile” to add accurate energy data to your consumption profile

How to use Energy Insight?

Step 1: Click on the Customer tab from the main menu and select your customer.

Step 2: Click on the “View Details” button on the proposal card.

Step 3: After completing your solar design, click on the “Consumption Profile” button.

Step 4: You can find two buttons at the top.

The “Send Energy Insight Form To Customer” sends a connection request to the customer, while the “Create Energy Insight Connection” allows you to create a connection within SubcontractorHub itself


Step 5: Click the “Create Energy Insight Connection” button.

Step 6: Click “Continue.”

Step 7: Select your energy provider

Step 8: Enter your customer’s username and password. Click “Submit.”

Step 9: Click “Fetch Actual Consumption Data.”

Step 10: Click “Submit.”

Step 11: The actual energy data will be automatically updated in the consumption profile. You can compare the estimated data with actual data as well as as refresh the actual consumption data.

Step 12: Click “Save.”

Note: You can also create an energy insight connection in your perfect packet checklist. Simply click “Create a connection.” The rest of the steps are the same as mentioned above.
