Transferring your hostname from the EasyQuote whitelabel portal to your organization's home domain involves updating your DNS settings. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition:

Step By Step Guide:

1. Log in to Your Domain Account

Visit your domain workspace and log in using your credentials.

2. Access Your Domain Manager

Once logged in, navigate to your domain manager. This can typically be found in the dashboard or account settings.

3. Select the Domain

If you manage multiple domains, select the one for which you want to add the CNAME record.

4. Access DNS Management

Look for a section labeled "DNS Management", "Domain Settings", or something similar. Click on it to access the DNS management interface for your domain.

5. Add a New Record

Within the DNS management interface, look for an option to add a new record. This is usually labeled "Add Record", "Add DNS Record", or something similar. Click on it to proceed.

6. Choose CNAME as the Record Type

When prompted to select the type of record, choose "CNAME" from the dropdown menu or radio button options.

7. Enter the Details

Name or Host: enter the subdomain name you would like your new landing page to live on. This specifies the subdomain for which you're creating the CNAME record.

Points to or Value: Enter "cname.vercel-dns.com." (without quotes) in this field. This specifies the domain name to which the subdomain "shop" will be aliased.

8. Save the Changes

After entering the details, look for a "Save" or "Update" button, and click on it to save the new CNAME record.

9. Inform EasyQuote Team

Notify the EasyQuote Team that the DNS mapping has been updated. Provide them with the full subdomain/domain that you selected for verification. The EasyQuote Team will test from their end to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Propagation Time: Keep in mind that DNS changes can take some time to propagate. It may take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours for the changes to take effect globally.
