How to Activate Auto Add with Zipcodes
SubcontractorHub’s Auto Add feature helps streamline proposal creation by automatically including specific adders based on a customer’s location. When enabled, the platform detects zip codes tied to a customer’s address and adds the configured adder to the proposal—no manual selection needed. This ensures relevant adders are always applied when certain geographic or system-based conditions are met.
Step 1: Navigate to “Manage Database” from the main menu on the left and select “Database”.
Step 2: Open the “Solar System” dropdown and select “Adders”.
Step 3: Choose the specific adder for which you want to enable the auto-add functionality. Click the “View Detail” icon.
Step 4: Click on the “Edit” button.
Step 5: Click on the checkbox next to "Auto Add" to activate the Auto Add functionality for the selected adder.
Step 6: You can add the conditions for Auto Add by selecting your preferred state, territories, the adder's distance from the warehouse and zipcode. Zipcodes can be entered manually in the “Zipcodes” field or uploaded from a CSV file by clicking “Import”.
Note: Based on the adder’s distance from the warehouse, additional fees may apply to the proposal’s pricing. Distance thresholds from warehouses and the applicable charges can be set up in the database by your organization’s admin.
Step 7: Auto Add can also be set up based on system size, county, utility and other factors.
Step 8: Scroll up and click “Update”.
Once the "Auto Add" functionality is enabled for the adder, it will automatically be included in your proposal whenever the system detects the zip codes associated with the customer's address. This streamlines the proposal creation process, ensuring that relevant add-ons are automatically included based on the customer's location.
